My all time favorite: Poke Poke Fish Bar in Santa Clara
Opened in 2016, Poke Poke Fish Bar in Santa Clara California is by far my favorite Poke restaurant. Located at 2362 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA and it is in the chipotle style of build your own Poke bowl. Pick your base, Pick your protein, Pick your sauces, Pick your toppings, Pick your crunchy dry toppings, And go!
What makes this Poke better than the rest is three fold: a wide variety of protein options, the most types of sauces I’ve ever seen that range from no spice to insane spice that are superb, and the most amazing corn salsa.
In addition to the Poke bowls, you can get some sushi and you can get the the best Poke Nachos. Yes, nachos. These are crazy good and such a surprise. Again, the corn salsa and the sauces used make the nachos really work. I’ve had other Poke nachos that are just boring. Nothing is boring at Poke Poke.
The Owners Tetsu and Martin
Both Tetsu and Martin are hands on co-owners with Tetsu driving the menu and Martin running the front of the house. The two make a great team and their partnership definitely works. Both are so friendly and nice and really remember their regular customers.
My personal bowl
Seriously, this place is the bomb. I mean look at all those sauce choices. Here’s one of my go to bowls:
- 1/2 Brown rice base w 1/2 mixed greens (sometimes I prefer yam noodles instead of rice)
- 2 scoops salmon, 1 scoop spicy scallops (the current featured fish) and cucumbers
- Regular crab no furikaki
- sauces: creamy aioli + Garlic Onion Emulsion with a dash of Unagi
- toppings: green onions, corn salsa, carrot & daikon, seaweed (extra) and masago
- No dry toppings
Other items
In addition to poke bowls and the poke nachos, the other items on the menu are all amazing. Masubi, sushi, edamame hummus with pita chips, hamachi kama, and last but not least hand rolls (which aren’t listed on the above menu so I hope they still serve them).

I just can’t rave enough about this place. I am going to continue searching as I travel for amazing poke, I’m just not sure anything will beat this place.
